Radio delete, armstrong steering, drum brakes. Someone special ordered just a 4 speed on a base Standard car. Probably had a Mustang or Falcon payment in mind. Is that the original spare in the trunk? Trash the rest of the California smog, and get a set of single sheave pulleys, and top mount altern...

Steering boxes with tag SMB-K, are an assembly of 16:1 steering box and a power steering pitman arm.
Steering boxes with tag SMB-F, are an assembly of 16:1 steering box and a manual steering pitman arm.

The difference is the pitman arm.

Starting in 1968 the deluxe T handles had buttons that were convex. 1967 deluxe handle buttons are slightly concave.

All of the brake lines enter the distribution block. If you have to change the lines, you may as well plan on rebuilding the distribution block assembly at the same time. It is just two more easy to reach bolts.

That '58 with the 383, isn't that the engine that has a Autolite 4100 with 1.19" venturi? Has the most CFM of any Autolite 4100?

Have you thought of an Eliminator convertible? They look really good when done right.
