Re: Assorted Cougar Parts - Free for local pickup

Are the wheel lip moldings restored originals? Be interested to see what shipping would be to 78216 The wheel lip moldings are definitely refurbished originals. You can see some of the tool marks in the pictures and 3 of the 4 have "AB9458" scratched into the back part of the lip edge. That's done ...

Re: Assorted Cougar Parts - Free for local pickup

I assume the console is XR7? Here are some pictures of the console. It looks like an XR-7 console to me, at least the pad does. The pad, by the way, is actually dark blue while the console base is black. If that matters, I'll split them up. http://www.catvert68.com/sharedpics/parts4sale/console01.j...

Re: Assorted Cougar Parts - Free for local pickup

What year is the harness and what harness is it ? Here are the pictures. I'm not enough of an expert to identify the year, but it is supposed to be an XR-7 harness. Maybe you can tell by looking at the pictures. http://www.catvert68.com/sharedpics/parts4sale/harness01.jpg http://www.catvert68.com/s...

Re: Assorted Cougar Parts - Free for local pickup

What year is the harness and what harness is it ? It's supposed to be a '68 XR-7 complete harness. I know it at least has the rear section because I can see the tail light portion without removing it from the box. It was part of a parts lot I purchased and wasn't something I needed so I'll need to ...

Re: Assorted Cougar Parts - Free for local pickup

Are the wheel lip moldings restored originals? Be interested to see what shipping would be to 78216 The wheel lip moldings appear to be restored originals. I can't say definitively because they were part of a parts lot I purchased during my own restoration project that ended up getting NOS. I never...

67-68 Hood in Central MA

I prefer not to ship the hood, since I don't have the time to crate it and the local Greyhound terminal has very limited parking. Here are some pictures of the hood. It's scratched from being in storage with other parts so even if it's the right color for someone it would still need to be touched up...

Re: Assorted Cougar Parts - Free for local pickup

All of the free parts have been claimed. What remains is listed below. I prefer not to ship the hood, trunk lid, or bumpers (our Greyhound terminal is very difficult to navigate to and from with no good parking close to the entrance). Hood - $750.00 Trunk Lid - $75.00 Tail light bezels with no pitti...

Assorted Cougar Parts - Free for local pickup

I have an assortment of 67-68 Cougar parts left over from the BBCat and B3Cat restorations. They are free to anyone who wants to come pick them up. Most would need some level of refurbishment and some may not be useful at all. Anything not taken will be given to my local scrap guy so this isn't an a...

Re: The Mustangs Unlimited GTE is back for Sale

When one really digs into it you will usually find date codes are different, maybe the car was originally manual drum and not factory punched for a booster or the car was made at San Jose vs. Dearborn and details will differ. A rebody is a memory of a car not THEE car. I get that, Don, and I agree ...

Re: The Mustangs Unlimited GTE is back for Sale

Just out of curiosity, if I took a body shell from a GT-E and placed it next to the body shell from a GT of the same trim level (XR-7 or base) and covered the VIN numbers wherever they appear, could anyone here tell one from the other? Would not the GT-E have holes drilled for the body side molding...
