Re: 1968 Convertible Conversion

That looks great, Steven. Makes me want to tear mine apart and start over. BTW, didn't Mercury make a "Bobcat" version of the Pinto? I wonder what that emblem looked like?

It depends... is the "beast" the Mini in your signature? If so, I'd go for the 440 with a six pack.

Re: Legendary Cougar Magazine

I don't know if my subscription expired or not, but if applicable, I don't want a refund either. The issues I have are worth more to me than what you charged for them.

Re: Engine Bay Refresh question?

Add more carburetors and people will tend to not look at anything else in the engine bay.

Re: Anyone else using their Cougar for a winter time daily commuter?

Since you ask, I’ll jump in to say that this year is the 15 th Wisconsin winter for my faithful 68 daily driver. She’s been through sleet, snow, blizzards, extreme cold, and just about everything in between. To keep warm, it’s really just a matter of sealing up leaky weatherstrip and finding hidden ...

Re: Thermostat housing leak

Just noticed today that the leak on mine is getting worse. Looks like I'll have to re-do it this weekend. :( Bummer, is it seeping at the bottom? Just while sitting? Brian Must be seeping through the bottom while driving to/from the office. The gasket I used was from NAPA and had adhesive on one si...

Re: Thermostat housing leak

I just replaced mine and have the exact same leak. Very frustrating. I've heard that the solution is to not use a gasket at all, just sealant. I might try that.

Re: PS Control Valve Adjustment

Well, adjusting the nut hasn't fixed the problem. I suspect the spool must have a bur or some dirt on it that is causing it to bind in one direction. Does anyone know if it's possible to pull the spool out without removing the whole thing from the car? Or is that just wishful thinking.

You sure gave him a righteous whoopin'. Just by looking at the cowl, methinks your cat to be a mean beast.
