I am with Gary. I use the replacement one from Hayden on cars I am going to drive. If that is the original, you should still keep it, don't toss it.

If you have the old school vibe, you can use the Ford Muscle parts books to guide you. Basically bolt CJ stuff to the 390 and hang on.

Nothing like a wiring fire to sharpen up one's skill in the use and and proliferation of good solid profanity. In some cases it can even enhance accuracy when throwing tools. We salute you.

If jumping from the BAT post to S does nothing then you probably have a bad battery or bad connection to the battery, or the ground wire from the engine to the battery is not connected.

When you turn the key to the start position, power should run from the switch, through the neutral start safety switch, then out to the S terminal of the solenoid. The power energizes a coil that pulls the internal plunger up to close the connection between the battery side and the starter side of t...

The S post is not supposed to have power. The wire that attached there should have power when the key is in the start position.
