Re: Gas Backsplash When Filling Tank

FWIW, never have that problem with my '69, unless I top the hell out of the tank. Leave it to me for my experience to be completely different than everyone else's...

Re: Steering Wheel Pad Restoration

P.S. My pad is a repro, getting the bezel to fit it was akin to a moon launch!

Re: Steering Wheel Pad Restoration

Here is what I did with mine. I had one that wasn't cracked, surface was good, no separation but just warped and out of shape. Re: The Snowball Saga - '68 Standard Revitalization Project

If Andrew used the type of paint it appears he did, it's like what machine shops use. There's an aluminum version and a cast iron version, Alumi-Blast and Cast-Blast are two brand names that come to mind. Anyway, these go on very thin. I have used (and recommend) them. Used them on numerous things o...

Re: 1968 Convertible Conversion

Nice work, as always Steven.

Hey, on that prototype XR7S picture, looks like it has no side view mirror? It's a prototype, so guess that could explain it but seems odd just the same...

Re: Air coming in through steering wheel

I bought a repro from Muscle Car Reproductions (MCR), installed it and it balled up and fell out right away. Forget if I improvised or said F' it after that.

Re: How do we help folks that don't know how to use a forum?

It's not perfect, but there's always the FAQ . Of course, judging by the emails you've received, the users in question may not know what a FAQ is, or don't notice the link to it in the navigation menu. Judging by the quotes, maybe change "FAQ" to "Frequently Asked Questions" to get better visibilit...

Re: Changing to a Tremec

Had to cut the unibody reinforcement for the cross member to fit the TKO-600 into Isabel. Dunno, maybe it is because she's a 'vert?

Re: Back firing

Reading my service manual it does say the rocker arms can be over tightened. But it says the 351 HO motors. Mines is not an HO. Does this matter. Could I have over tightened the rocker arms and if so how do I fix this? The Boss 351's had adjustable valvetrain, I believe that is what you are referri...
