Re: "Performance Axle" item on invoice?

In the first brochure they also list the Boss 429 as an option... with 2 hood scoops no less. The second brochure shows the 3.25 as the included performance axle ratio. In order to get something other than the 3.25 the order had to specify the optional ratio.

If any one knows Steve, can you tell him that he has won? I have emailed him and sent a PM and no response so far.

Re: "Performance Axle" item on invoice?

As pointed out already, if your Eliminator had AC then you got the numerically lower ratio. Any ratio other than the standard 3.25 would have been an "optional ratio" So if an Eliminator was ordered with a 2.75 ratio axle it would would be shown as an optional ratio.

Re: "Performance Axle" item on invoice?

I believe that all Eliminators were 3.25 ratio, hence Axle: High Performance

Re: Possible Silver lining - don't hate, just constructive advice please

Maybe the best course is to sell the Cougar as it is right now. Putting the Chevy driveline in it will drop the Cougar's value. Then buy some thing that your drive line would bolt into with minimal trouble. Firebirds seem to be reasonable compared to Camaros, but there are tons of other choices. Lot...

Re: Radio antenna removal and hole repair

<t>I take it that there is a dealer invoice for a rear mounted antenna with the charge for the extension coax cable?<br/> <br/> The power antenna was definitely a factory option on the full size Mercury Monterrey, Marquis, Montclair, Park Lane and Brougham. Dealers did install these antennas on lots...
