Vote for the October 2015 Ride of the Month!

Post by xr7g428 » 27 Sep 2015, 11:23

If there is one month that beats ll of the others for driving a classic Cougar, October has to be it. The heat has lost its edge and the snow has not begun to fly except in the most northern locales. Leaves will be changing color and it is hard to beat a top down drive in a Cougar convertible down a twisty two lane through autumns finest color. Even in the desert evenings are cooler and the windows can come down giving the AC a rest. Enjoy!

This month we have two very different Cougars that actually have much n common. Both cars are the definition of survivor. They where both parked for a very long time but each of them are in very well preserved condition. It is a reminder that a car is only original once.

First up, Dave W's (70B302Cat) '70 Boss 302 Eliminator

And Neal's (BadCat) '71 XR-7 Hardtop with extremely rare Upbeat cloth interior.

I like Dave's Boss E cat. But for those who are wondering what an Up Beat Cloth interior is here is a look at this Cougar's best.

Tough choice again. Love the Eliminator but that Up Beat interior made me cast my vote for the 71.

Me, too. It's just a cool old clean car......even if it is Beat Up.

Thanks all, it was very close, a good showing by Neal as well.

I need to get the information/pictures to Bill for him to get the story up.
