Re: The August 2019 Ride of the Month is Andrew Chenovick's '68 Standard "Snowball"!

Thanks Bill! And I also didn't notice for a while, for the same reason. Half the time I look at the forum from my phone, but it's a lot easier to type and upload photos from a desktop. Not sure what the best way would be to make the banner image show up on mobile, but your email idea isn't bad eithe...

Re: The Snowball Saga - '68 Standard Revitalization Project

Your Cougar looks amazing - great work. Your work inspired my son to repair his 1968 white XR7 as well. We did a roof replacement following your video, and it came out nice. His Cougar is also a black plate California car, in fact his license plate is very close to yours - so probably sold within a...

Re: The Snowball Saga - '68 Standard Revitalization Project

Well I guess I should kinda wrap this up! Many of you probably know that I just went through a big life change, move, etc. and I'm still getting my bearings. Before the move, there were a few things to wrap up. The charging issue turned out to be the voltage regulator. So that was fairly straightfor...

Highlights gallery is up! It's on FB but you don't need an account to view it. Link: https://www.facebook.com/WestCoastClassicCougar/photos/?tab=album&album_id=10157386187354087 The sneaky thing about this gallery is that while it includes the winners, I didn't necessarily show the actual shots I'll...

Re: Shaver grill paint

+1 for SEM Trim Black. It’s a beautiful satin black that lays down nice and smooth. Follow directions on the can, it’s a little different than most paints.

Re: WCCC Photo Contest 2019

Well! I know I'm a bit late in saying anything about this, but the deadline has come and gone. We got a lot of great entries. This might be the hardest year ever to narrow down the winners. People always want to know when the winners will be announced. Generally what I like to do is to keep it a sec...

The August 2019 Ride of the Month is Andrew Chenovick's '68 Standard "Snowball"!

First off, I'm proud to finally join this club of ROTM winners. It's been a long time coming! Bill asked if I wanted to do my own write-up, and I said sure! Since I have several pictures to integrate with the story, we figured it would be easier for me to start the thread. So, now the tale begins: I...

Re: Running Hot

Just to update this, I got a laser thermometer and found that my running temperature was pretty normal, around 190 (measured around the upper hose and thermostat housing). So it seemed that the sending unit was indeed the culprit. I was able to find an original Autolite sending unit and that seems t...
