Re: No vin stamp on heads or block.

They stamped the VIN on cylinder heads only for the 390 in Dearborn and San Jose in '68. You won't find blocks stamped at either of those plants until '69 if you are talking about an FE. Royce, Quick question, why would you say there is no block stamping on a 68? Does that only apply to certain pla...

Re: 68 G valance

The one that is pictured is the first version that would be on a Hertz or early G with just one hole. The second style has a plate welded in the center that gives the light about a 1/4" more room and has a hole with grommet for the wiring.

68 headlight housing fastener

Does anyone offer the special bolts that clip into the core support for mounting the headlight housing on a 68? I've looked on WCCC and National Parts Depot and didn't find a listing. Are the bolts used on the 68 Mustang stone guard the same? Thanks

Re: G hood scoop

Why would you buy from them when West Coast Classic Cougar sells them less? Ok it's just a few cents less but still less.

Re: 1968 XR7 interior color scheme

Many of the green items look black until you have a part that is black sitting next to the green part. I've had a green console base and a black one sitting side by side and you could see the difference. KTL restored an XR7G with the ivy interior and even when the carpet looked black in pictures the...

Re: 1968 XR7 interior color scheme

The dash pad, kick panels, console base and carpet are a dark green. The lower dash, steering column and steering wheel with pad are black. The seat belts are black if standard and green if deluxe. An Xr7 came with the standard belts but I believe you could have up graded to the deluxe.
