Eliminators on the Market (December 2019)

#1

Post by Mike_B_SVT » 05 Dec 2019, 01:50

Had a blast at MCACN last month! It was great meeting, and hanging out with the Cougar gang there!
Been doing some minor projects so far this fall. Installed the LED conversion kit for the taillights and turn signals (yay!), and also installed a headlight relay kit and halogen lamps. Also sent off my fuel sending unit to Bill Basore for restoration - it looks like a brand new unit! Thanks Bill :-)

The following Eliminators appear to have sold last month (price shown is listed price, or hammer price for auction cars)...

9F91G568008 - 1969 Boss 302/4spd. Bright Blue Metallic/Black Interior. via CarsOnLine. $32.5k
0F91M507746 - 1970 351/auto. Competition Green, White Standard Interior. Docs. via eBay. $33,250

As always, if you know of an Eliminator for sale or are looking for an Eliminator, please feel free to post here, or contact me. I'll do my best to help you find the Eliminator you are looking for, or help find a new home for your Eliminator, if possible. Send me a PM or email me directly at: EliminatorSearch@CougarClub.org

Which one? 0F91M507739 - pastel blue ($32k)? Or 0F91M515205 - competition green ($36.5k)?

The pastel blue car, I think is being held back because it needs some "touch up" / sweat equity put into it. It would benefit from a good, deep detailing. Replace the tweaked rear bumper, pull the taillights and repaint them (blackout the tail panel while you're at it), replace the trunk trim black out tape. Underside looks great, IMO. Probably needs some various maintenance / repairs on the AC, brakes, etc. Spend the winter cleaning it up and sorting it out, then drive it all summer with a smile on your face. Jeez, if it were closer to me I'd try to work a deal on it, but I'd go broke shipping it across the country >.<

The comp green car, I've heard that the seller can be difficult to get in touch with. I recommend contacting his daughter via the FB link.

Oops
The competition green one.
My understanding is that it is a non-matching numbers drivetrain. Also incorrect interior (should be B&W Houndstooth). It's probably those things and other details that are holding it back from a sale.
