Mystery NOS bolt found in New Years Clean-up

#1

Post by gah »

I hope that someone in the CCC can help to identify this bolt, which I purchased long ago, and failed to tag for its application. I've searched the internet and also compared it to other reproduced ( AMK ) chassis / suspension bolts which has yielded no matches or leads. I could search through all the MPC diagrams for my 1969 Cougar, but that would take a very LONG time to chance upon where the bolt is used !
I know for sure that it is not the rear leaf spring ( front eye bushing ) bolt - as I have one of those ( it is significantly longer ) and it is not this part number.
It is Ford part / hardware number : 38822-S100 ( BB-199-EC ) And I've attached some images.
Thanks for any help as to what this bolt is used for.

Looks about right for an engine mount bolt to me.

Yup, that guy, the hooligan.

How do you know someone is a pilot? Easy! They'll tell you!

Somewhere out there is a tree, tirelessly producing oxygen so you can breathe. I think you owe it an apology.

JWC66K on the ConcoursMustang forum has documented all hardware used for each year and its application. For 69/70, here's the link:
http://www.concoursmustang.com/forum/in ... ic=10790.0
You may have to be a member to access the library, however. Hope you find it there; I only looked for 69/70's. All years can be found at:
